Cleared rural property in the Appalachian foothills after brush and undergrowth removal

SW Virginia · NE Tennessee

Land Clearing

Lots, pastures, and acreage cleared for building, farming, or reclaiming ground that has grown in — mulched in place or fully removed, depending on what you plan to do with it.

The problem

Why It Keeps Happening.

Ground here grows back fast. A pasture that stopped being cut ten years ago is now briars and cedar, and a wooded lot you want to build on is full of small stems, vines, and deadfall long before you get to the trees that matter.

The longer it sits the more it costs. Stems that were saplings become trunks, root systems get established, and what would have been a mulching job becomes a clearing and grubbing job.

Most people also do not know which kind of clearing they actually need — and paying for full removal when mulching in place would have worked is the most common way to overspend on this.

Often paired with forestry mulching, building & equipment pads and small demo & debris removal on the same visit.

What we do

Our Process.

  1. 1

Walk the property with you, mark the boundaries of the work, and identify what stays and what goes.

  2. 2

Decide with you between mulching in place and full removal with grubbing, based on what the land is for.

  3. 3

Drop and process brush, vines, and small stems, starting from the access side and working in.

  4. 4

Mulch material in place to a workable layer, or pile it for removal if the site needs bare soil.

  5. 5

Grub stumps and root mass where the ground has to be built on, tilled, or graded.

  6. 6

Rough grade, smooth ruts, and leave the site drainable and ready for the next step.
